Nail Art Trends To Watch Out For in Fall 2022

Whether you're into simple or intricate designs, these nails should be on your Fall must-wear list.

Fall is the perfect time to bring out your best nail art. Whether you want something cute, edgy, or classic, there are so many different types of fall nail art to choose from. You can even find a ton of fun designs for Halloween! Here are some of my favorite fall nail art trends for this year!

Manicures are getting a makeover!

Fall is one of the best times for nail art because the cooler weather makes it easier to experiment with different colors and styles. This season's trends are all about neutrals, earthy tones and muted hues. Nail art is more subtle than in the summer but it's still fun to experiment with bolder hues as well.

The first trend for fall is neutral tones. This includes white and cream, but also shades of brown like chestnut or cinnamon.

The second trend is metallic. While gold and silver are always classic choices, they're not your only option! Other metals like bronze or copper look amazing paired with darker shades like blackberry reds or deep purples. You can also go for more neutral looks by using silver on top of lighter colors like tan or khaki green.

The last trend is glitter. Glitter can be used to add sparkle and shine to any manicure, but it also works well as an accent color on top of another shade like navy or burnt orange! This season's colors are all about being subtle yet fun, so don't be afraid to experiment with different ways of using them.

An Ethereal Polish

If you want to go for something a little more natural, a barely there color will be your best bet. Nude tones are always a classic option, but if that's not what you're going for (or if your nails aren't in the best shape), try a neutral tone instead. Neutral shades like taupe, gray and even black can look very chic with minimal effort. Most of these hues blend into the skin and give off an ethereal vibe--perfect for any fall outfit!

A top coat is definitely optional when it comes to this nail art trend; bare nails with just an accentuation of cuticle will do just as well!

It's important to note that this trend is not for everyone. If you're more of an edgy type or like your nails with a bit more flair, then you might want consider other nail art ideas instead.

Glam Rock Frenchies

French manicures are a classic, but that doesn't mean they're tired. They certainly have the staying power to make their way back into the limelight. Just like your favorite pair of shoes, French manicures can be worn with anything from jeans and a tee to a beautiful dress and heels. We've seen some fun updates on this oldie-but-goodie in recent years, including matte metallics and glittery metallics (which we love). These iterations are perfect for fall!

French manicures are also a great way to add some glam to your nails without going too far. The classic French mani is all about painting the nail bed white and leaving the free edge uncolored (or with a hint of color). We love how this style can be worn day or night, and it's perfect for any occasion where you want to feel put-together but not overstated.

Cow Prints Are Where It's At

Cow prints are the latest trend to take over nail art. It's a fun way to add a little whimsy to your look and is great for adding color if you're looking for something bright, bold and fun.

To get this look, you’ll need a base coat of black polish on all nails except your ring finger. Next, apply some white polish to the tips of each nail and let dry completely.

Once that's done, grab some nail stickers in any pattern you prefer. Our favorite print is the classic cow but feel free to experiment with different prints like zebra stripes or even leopard.

Abstract Meets Nude

Nude colors are the perfect backdrop for abstract art. The soft hues of nude tones make for a beautiful canvas with which to place your designs. Try using strips, polka dots, or any other design that will compliment the overall look of your nail design.

Use a nude color to blend in your outfit as well. This way you don’t have any unnecessary colors ruining what could be an otherwise great ensemble!

If you don't like the idea of having to pick one color, try layering on different shades and textures. For example, you could use a dark shade for your base coat with light-colored polish over it to create depth and dimension.

Conclusion

Remember that nail art is about personal expression and creativity. There are no rules when it comes to what you can do, so have fun with it! If you’re looking for more inspiration or guidance on where to start, I hope this article has been helpful. Happy manicuring!
